Future Forward Excellence Scholarship (FFES)

SACKOBA USA is pleased to announce the establishment of the Future Forward Excellence Scholarships (FFES), a new program designed to provide financial assistance to promising students who are pursuing a first degree in higher education. 

This scholarship program reflects our commitment to fostering educational opportunities and empowering the next generation of leaders. The Future Forward Excellence Scholarships will be awarded up to seven promising students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership qualities, and commitment to community service, in any area of study. 

The Dark Blue Eagle Award of Future Forward Excellence Scholarships will be given to the legal child of any official member of SACKOBA USA. The FFES program will award $1,000 to one student who is eligible in this category annually. 

The Maroon Eagle Award of Future Forward Excellence Scholarships will be given to any college bound United States student who meets the overall criteria, which includes leadership and community service. The FFES  program will award $1,000 to one student who is eligible in this category annually.

The Future Forward Excellence Scholarships Program is fully funded by SACKOBA-USA corporate fund. However, if any organization, business entity, brand, family, group, or an individual is interested in sponsoring an award, we are happy to provide them with the opportunity for a single year or multi-year sponsorship. The names of the award will reflect the sponsor as follows, and the promotional material will carry details of the sponsor.

Light Blue Lux De Ceolo Scholarships are aimed at Sri Lankan students and awarded up to five promising A/L students nominated by SACK. The eligibility criteria and nominations are determined by the Committee for Scholarships at SACK.

SACKOBA USA is incredibly excited to launch the Future Forward Excellence Scholarships program and provide vital support to students in our community. We strongly believe that investing in education is forward thinking in a manner that authentically reflects how our present actions will shape the future of the next generation of scholars. 

USA Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Future Forward Excellence Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be the child of a SACKOBA USA member for the Dark Blue Eagle Award or any US resident student for the Maroon Eagle Award. 
• Be a high school graduate with proof of admission to an accredited university or college in the United States in any area of study. 
• Demonstrate a 3.0 or higher GPA in high school, involvement in extracurricular activities, and a demonstrable commitment to community service.

Application Process

• The application period is from September 10, 2025,      to November 10, 2025.
• Interested students need to fill in the      application form found at www.sackobausa.com or use the QR code below.

• Applicants must 
  • Upload a copy of high school transcript
  • Copy of letter of acceptance to an accredited US university or college
  • A 200-word (max) response to the prompt “What excites you about your chosen field of study and how do you see it impacting the community in the future?” 

Important: Selection of scholarship winners will be carried out by an independent committee, and their decision is final.
